Inquire whether the item you want can be shipped from Indonesia to your country, as well as details regarding pricing, shipping service availability, mandatory import documentation, the process steps until delivery, and so on. 2. Check the Goods or Items
Before we ship your items, our customer service team will verify that they are not on the list of goods prohibited for shipment from Indonesia to your country. Both Indonesia and your country have their own specific regulations; for instance, the shipment of hazardous materials, illicit substances, or similar products is either prohibited or restricted. Our sales or customer service teams will coordinate with the operations team to provide guidance on what is permitted and what is not, helping you avoid potential issues down the line.
3. Send to Flash Globals Office or Flash Globals Partner Warehouse
Once shipment is confirmed as feasible, you will need to arrange for the goods to be sent to the Flash Globals office or one of our partner warehouses. You can handle this yourself using a local Indonesian shipping service, or you can request assistance from our sales team, customer service, or a personal shopper to collect the items from a pickup location in Indonesia or to help manage the domestic shipment. Please note that requesting our team’s assistance with pickup or domestic shipment management may incur additional fees. The official shipping process begins once the goods have been received by the Flash Forwarding team or our partner.
4. Weighing and Measuring
Once your items arrive at the warehouse, they will first undergo measurement. They are carefully weighed and measured to determine their actual weight, dimensions, and volumetric weight. This is a standard procedure that ensures the final shipping cost is calculated accurately. The cost is determined based on the higher value between the actual weight and the calculated volumetric weight. 5. Invoice Issuance
Once the measurements are taken, customer service will inform you of the chargeable weight. The invoice will be issued based on the chargeable weight. This document will detail all costs associated with your shipment, ensuring there are no unexpected charges. In some countries, our prices include duties and taxes, while in others they do not. You can check this with our sales or customer service team beforehand.
6. Make a Payment
Once you receive the invoice, it is time to make the payment. Shipping can proceed once payment has been made. As Flash Globals has recently begun operations in Indonesia, pricing and payments are handled in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). For the payment process, you can use digital wallets that support currency conversion—such as Wise—or banking services like Foreign Telegraphic Transfer.
7. AWB and Shipping Begins
Once your payment is confirmed, an Air Waybill (AWB) or Connote will be issued. This document essentially serves as a travel ticket for your package, complete with a unique tracking number. With the AWB or Connote in hand, your goods are officially on their way!
